SWEDES AND STONES

By now you've probably heard about the verbal "misremembering" poor young Swedish sniper Loui Eriksson fell into following the Trade Deadline Day game at St. Louis. If you missed it, he called new goaltender (and fellow Swede) Johan Holmqvist "Holmstrom" , and he called Brad Richards "Keith".

Whoops!

Honest mistakes in a second language -- in an intimidating environment. (Cameras are scary)

But also good fodder for blog humor.

And his mis-speaking has prompted me to put together the "Rolling Stones" of hockey:

Brad "Keith" Richards on lead guitar
Jaromir "Mick" Jagr on vocals
Former San Jose Shark, Dody "Ron" Wood on rhythm guitar
Dennis "Bill" Wideman of the Bruins on bass
And Brian "Charlie" Watts, who played 8 years for Detroit, providing the back beat

Now there's a group that would give our boy Loui some "Satisfaction".
