SWEDISH TOUCH

A changing of the flag went relatively unnoticed during the Trade Deadline swap meet.

With the trade of Finnish shootout sniper Jussi Jokinen to Tampa Bay, and the subsequent acquisition of Swedish-born goaltender Johan Holmqvist from the Bolts, the Scandinavian influence on the Stars shifted a little further west.

For the first time in my memory (which is just shy of an Alzheimer patient) the Twinkles have more Swedes than Finns.

The five Swedish Stars -- Norstrom, Eriksson, Lundqvist, Grossman and Holmqvist.

The three remaining Finns -- Lehtinen, Miettinen and Hagman.

Note to Stars In-arena production: It might be time to think about swapping that "Finnish or Gibberish" feature to "Swedish or Swahili"
