THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT?

Greetings from The Great White North.

You know Canada has this reputation as being a little conservative and behind the curve in many ways. The latest example of this is the Apple iPhone which just became available up here - today!

I'm not kidding.

That same iPhone that is in its second generation in the U.S., and that Mrs. Razorboy had in her designer purse almost 2 years ago (Yes, I am husband of the decade), is just now hitting the market here.

No smarty pants, polite to a fault Canadians have not been communicating with tin cans and wax string - they do have cell phones (And no, not those brick sized grey ones). However it is curious that the country that spawned Alexander Graham Bell is so late to the party on this new technology.

Five other things Canadians are eagerly anticipating this summer:

  1. Color (Or "Colour" in the land of the maple leaf) Television

  2. Cassette Tapes

  3. Sony Walkman

  4. Atari Game System

  5. The Clapper
