Primer notes for tonight:

Marty Turco has won 2 of his last 3 starts vs Detroit.

This will be Detroit area native Mike Modano's 87th career game vs the Wings, and if he plays this will be Chris Chelios' 96th vs the Stars. Chelios just set the NHL record for regular season wins - he has a whopping 880! (They are old)

The Stars, Red Wings and Flyers are the only teams yet to surrender a shorthanded goal. (Safety first!)

Detroit leads the NHL in shots per game (37). Reminds me, you miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take.

The Wings have a record of 18-2-2 when scoring first, but one of the two losses was to Dallas.

Both the Stars and the Red Wings have won all games this season when scoring more goals than the opponent.
