Sid the Kid needs Syd 1,200.

That's my educated revelation - but Mr. Reebok isn't going to get Darryl Sydor back any time soon.

Here's the skinny; The Penguins opened the season 11-4-2 with Darryl on the roster. Since the trade that sent Phillipe Boucher to Pittsburgh and made Sydor a Star for a third time the Pens are a dismal 9-12-2.

Only a pandering buffoon would attribute all that to one guy, but I believe it does underscore the importance of having a guy in your room, at practice, around your youth, who has seen a lot, says a lot, competes, and wants to share.
