BROTHER-IN-LAW

As my brother-in-law Brendan Morrison is welcomed into the fold (we married the Jones sisters) I have some ideas as to how this is going to work out off the ice, for the first little bit – during the adjustment phase.

The team has offered to have us room or “billet” Brendan at our house for a monthly fee of $200 plus upper level seats to home games. Ya, I agree – Awesome!

Having already seen Will Ferrell’s ‘Step Brothers’, I will be on the lookout for any “in-law jealousy” cropping up during his stay. (Kinda spooky – Brendan and Daryl, Brennan and Dale?) Anyway, everything should be fine as long as he doesn’t touch my Rock Band 2 drum set or bury me alive in the back yard.

This should be a blast. I am really looking forward to crafting make-shift bunk beds out of hockey sticks and spare pieces of 2x4 from the attic with him, as well as watching Shark Week on the Discovery Channel together. And, just like Dale and Brennan, we too are enormous John Stamos fans (Or is that Stamkos?) so a Full House marathon is obviously in the offing.

Good times indeed.

I know it’s gonna be a little hectic in L.A. this week but hopefully the two of us can find time to drop by the Catalina Wine Mixer, and maybe I’ll bang out Por Ti Volare for the people.

Trust me, the extended Jones family is ecstatic with the news of today’s transaction, and so is the Morrison clan, and so should Starsnation.

But even with all the warm fuzzies, Brendan isn’t getting his usual #7 (retired) or #9 (duh)…or the top bunk.
