PROGNOSTICATION

If you want to know what has happened there are numerous news gathering sources spread over a myriad of platforms that will rehash recent history for you and paralyze your medulla oblongata with analysis.

However, if you want to know what’s going to happen there is only one source – The Razorboy

For I am Razordamus - soothsayer of the Stars.

I am a seer for the stick and puck crowd, an oracle, a clairvoyant.

All one has to do to have my wizard-like powers proven, is check out the prediction for the California road trip during our ‘Look Ahead’ segment for the Stars Insider. (Taped immediately following the loss to the Pens last Sunday)

When asked to comment on the upcoming trip, basically, I nailed it.

@ San Jose?

I predicted the Stars would once again rise up in the face of their latest crucible at the Tank and continue their trend of success there. Turco would be excellent, and a Stars team that had lost 5 in a row would came together to beat the Sharks despite the fact the Conference leader had lost just twice in regulation on home-ice. Bold prediction – yes, Result? A convincing 4-1 victory.

@LA?

I foresaw this being an odd outing fraught with weird events, uncharacteristic play, and a difficult avenue to the win column. Just as Kopitar scored with just 11 seconds to go in that frantic 3rd period I could only shrug, for I had already envisioned the outcome. I didn’t want to be right, but I was. (Just like I don’t always want to be this handsome, but I am). Result? A stomach punching 5-4 overtime loss.

@Anaheim?

My witch-craftian abilities told me that Turco would be brilliant (again) and he was. He often delivers his best performances in the OC and he tends to be stupendous when all others are weary. The tea leaves don’t lie. Result? Outshot 38-16 they win it 3-2 and secure the exact 2-0-1 record I had all but promised on Sunday.

While most of the others in my business look in the rearview mirror for discussion points, I, the omnipotent Razordamus, continue to have my eyes on the event horizon. For I, Razordamus, as proven here today, am the pre-eminent puck prophet.

As for tonight’s tilt against the centurial Canadiens – I’m predicting hockey.
