ELIMINATED

Is it just me or it totally fitting that the 2008-09 Dallas Stars get eliminated from playoff contention with a win?

After all, this is a team that has lost twice when their goalie shutout the opponent. Really.

Sad as it is it’s far from a shock.

This has been a slow, painful and inevitable death – the likes that haven’t been seen since the days of those overacting thespians during the silent film era.

“Believe” was the playoff slogan a year ago. “Misery” has been the title of the regular season that followed it up – in more ways than one.

And last night they were put out of their misery.
