FYI, 35 years to the date the last, brave mask less goalie plied his trade in the NHL.
April 7th, 1974 Andy Brown stared down shooters without the safety of a mask.
Sounds insane doesn't it?!!
And they could shoot just as hard in 74'.
Now days you can't even get a goaltender to wince they're covered in so much space-aged armor.
Craig Mactavish was the last player to play without a helmet.
Who will be the last to compete without a visor? (That day is coming too you know.)
