THE ANGRY PELETON

It was reported that Lance Armstrong, through his Twitter account, slammed Versus decision to bail on some bicycle race called "The Tour of California" in favor of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final between the Flyers and Canadiens. (the end of the race and the cheek-kissing was bumped to the website)

The legendary American cyclist really had his blood boiling over this (but then again heating and doctoring one's blood is aledgedly the norm for those in his sport)...but I digress, and Armstrong wrote: "Who's the dumbass @versustv that cutoff @ AmgenTourofCali coverage w/ a mile to go for pregame hockey?? # pathetic."

No Lance, what's pathetic is equating a beach bike race in bankrupt California to the Final 4 in the NHL. Sorry bud, this time of year the "Flying Frenchmen's" unlikely pursuit of Lord Stanley's Cup takes precedent over every cycling event - save for following the yellow jersey wearer and pursuit-group as they fly by Frenchmen on the rural roads of cycling's S. Cup, the Tour de France. And further more, any future griping from the big thigh bike race world would be misguided, bordering on just plain dopey - Pun fully intended.

Razoire out!
