CENTRAL DIVISION CROWN

Go ahead, enjoy your little Pacific Division title San Jose, the Stars have their own crown to celebrate today.

With the 3-0 victory over the Blue Jackets last night the Stars finished with a regal 14-5-1 record against teams in the NHL’s Central. That’s the best record of any team against that division this season. Fire the confetti cannon!

This is the first Central title for Dallas (Which amazingly and somewhat appropriately is in the central time zone) since 1998, sort of.

Sure makes you wonder how great things might be if the Stars actually resided in the Central Division – road games that finish before midnight, travel alleviation, and this season maybe even a President’s Trophy to go along with this pseudo division banner?

You're right, Detroit wouldn’t allow it.

Oh well, I’m off to clean up the Cristal bottles and streamers.
